Complaints
An independent, accessible route for complaints is part of practising properly. Here is ours — and the ones that don't depend on us.
Complain to the firm
- Raise it with the person handling your matter first, if you can — most issues resolve fastest there.
- Otherwise, write to the directors: reception@leshiloattorneys.com, or by post/delivery to 11 Rabe Street, Corner President Paul Kruger Street, Polokwane Central, Polokwane, 0700. Mark it “Complaint”.
- Tell us what happened, when, who was involved, and what outcome you seek. We acknowledge complaints, investigate them, and respond with reasons.
Professional conduct — Legal Practice Council
Attorneys in South Africa are regulated by the Legal Practice Council (LPC). If your complaint concerns professional conduct and you do not wish to raise it with the firm, or you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain directly to the LPC. Complaint forms and provincial office contact details are published at lpc.org.za. Using our internal process first is welcome but never required.
Privacy — Information Regulator
Complaints about the handling of personal information can be made to the firm's Information Officer (see the privacy notice) and, independently, to the Information Regulator (South Africa): enquiries@inforegulator.org.za · inforegulator.org.za.
Fees and accounts
Fee disputes can be raised through the same routes; attorneys' fees are also subject to the assessment processes provided by law. Ask us to explain any item on an account — a clear answer in writing is part of the service.
